Kyosho FAZER VE-X Lancer Evolution X - T1 Version Vehicle, White

First off, my son is obsessed with Mitsubishi Lancer evo's so i thought what better Christmas gift than this kyosho fazer ve-x. Although it's an older model he'd be stoked! Christmas morning and the battery doesn't charge. End up buying a lectron pro charger and sure enough bad battery. I contact the seller and kyosho with no response from either. I bought another battery and the car ran fine for a couple of days until either the receiver or the esc stopped working. Contacted kyosho again and just received an auto generated reply. Not happy! This was not a toys r us special. I understand it's a hobby grade car with the need for user adjustment maintenance and repair but this was a complete bust right ot of the gates with zero help from the seller or kyosho.*EDIT So an email from the seller went to my wife's account. It included an invoice from their company and instructions on how to make a warranty claim with kyosho America. After submitting the invoice to kyosho they were very prompt in sending out a replacement esc and a slightly upgraded battery. Will add a few stars for customer service.

Its a real shame i had a problem with this because i had very high hopes for it. Car seems to be built very nice, looks like it would be fun..... but i haven't even got to run it yet :( i charged the battery for the recommended 6 hours, turned it on and there was only enough power to turn the front wheels, and it shut right off. So i charged it again and after 6 hours i tested the battery and it was only at 3.3 volts, should be 7.4. So its pretty clear i got a faulty battery or charger. I read several other reviews of people habing the same problem. So it seems thats a weak part from the start. I ordered an aftermarket lipo battery and charger so once that shows up hopefully the rest of the car runs and drives good.
