Don't be that guy and skip these because someone else gave them 1 star for being "Just a pair of stainless steel rods separated by plastic with screw connectors". That's what wired water sensors ARE. It's up to you to wire them up to a system that understands how to respond to the changes in the circuit that happen when the probes are submerged. If you can't do that, a wireless sensor with zigbee/zwave etc is more appropriate for you. These work fine, they're just simple holders for the probes and not too expensive. I have them wired up to a 12V relay triggering on hi with the relay wired to a Konnected alarm panel zone and they work great.

Just a fancy end for the wires it doesn't do any detecting.
Just a pair of stainless steel rods separated by plastic with screw connectors.When submerged in water you end up with 2 million ohms of resistance.
