This is a quality drive. I have 5 of them in my Synology NAS. They run like a champ. They stay cool even though the room is not air conditioned. The SMART stats are very clean.

Disappointed. I should have heeded the warning light on my DROBO after placing the drive into its bay. But it showed 8TB and just an orange warning light. I thought it might have been the bay. I decided, finally, to replace it with a new 8TB drive (not a renewed one) and no warning light. Pulled out what was an 8TB drive to reformat it for an enclosure and the erase and reformat got me a measly 1.4TB Drive. So much for an 8TB drive. While I have had good luck with this company before, I will be weary about using renewable drives again or at least be more vigilant in monitoring them.

I don't know if this is considered good or bad but spending this kind of money and not getting at least 5 years out of an enterprise drive seems pretty sad.

Two out of four drives were dead on arrival. One had SMART errors and couldn't write faster than 10 MB/s. The other one clicked loudly and was unrecognized by the OS

This item is listed as an 8TB drive. When we received it, its an already failed drive and is only showing 1TB. The return process was easy, but still very disappointed in the drive not working.
