Iec 61850 Demystified

I like:- This book is written by a recognized expert (just search for Skunkworks Wireshark to learn about Herbert).It goes deep in detail, but not too, and provide clear information.You don't need to be an expert to read it.- The Books start with a table of interest. If you don't have the time to read everything, this table will help you to focus on your need (but I recommend to read the whole book).- IEC61850 historyHerbert provides IEC61850 story and it helps to understand the choice that was made...I dislike:Well... it's in english... I would have preferred have it in French!But I am afraid that it will take long time...My Conclusion:After having read this book you should have a clear understanding of what is (and what is not) IEC61850.I recommend it, clearly.

I have worked with using this protocol for a number of years and I wish I had this text at the start, it explains a great deal of the background detail of the creation of the protocol and hence how it works.I suggest excellent for beginners and experienced readers.
