Too small and hard to use
Small tray makes small, cute ice cubes that are difficult to get out of the tray. They don't really stack as they will get stuck together. The ice the expand and stretch the silicone at times.

No false advertising here, they really are the best!
Never did I think I would someday be writing such an enthusiastic review of ice cube trays, but I absolutely LOVE these, and their declaration that they are the best ice cube trays out there is seconded by me. They make smallish cubes, which are perfectly square. The fact that they are somewhat smaller than many ice cubes, but not in the tiny size by any means, insures that they are usable across many platforms. I have, over the years, bought huge ice cube trays that take forever to freeze, and I have bought ice cube "tubes" to be able to fit them through the opening of my sports bottles. I even bought trays in cute shapes, which proved to be so flimsy that you couldn't fill them without the thin material flexing and drenching your lap. Finally I have a perfectly size cube that is usable virtually anywhere, and my old trays are being retired. They are made of a nice thickness of silicone, the perfect tray that does not bend and flop when you try to handle it, but is not so thick that the tray itself prevents the water from freezing. They got everything right in these, and they take up very little room in my freezer, which is also very nice.

How this got 5 stars?
Purchase due to all the 5 star reviews. I did everything everyone said to do prior and after first use to get the cubes to come out. They DO NOT!!!!!!! fall out. You have to push from the back each cube to get it out with some effort. I tried filling all the way, half way and everywhere in between with the same painstaking results. The trays are very small as are the cubes. For the price, they are horrible. I purchased the Rubbermaid Easy Release trays (4 pack) at the same time as these. The Rubbermaid trays work EXCELLENT!!!!! Now they virtually all fall out with a slight twist. For $2.48 more than the Tundra the Rubbermaid trays offer approximately 8 times the amount of ice with no hassles. I'm returning these trays and purchasing more of the Rubbermaid trays.

Great ice cube tray, but VERY small
These ice cube trays are really great. I have been using them to freeze baby food, and it is great to be able to pop out ice cubes individually, instead of having them all fall out as they do in the rigid plastic ice cube trays. I have frozen several batches of different fruits and vegetables in these trays and so far, they have washed completely clean every time with no residual odors. As other reviewers have noted, these ice cube trays are small. I read that before purchasing, but I still didn't have a good mental picture. The two trays together are still a few inches shorter than a regular ice cube tray. Each cube holds about half as much as a standard ice cube tray. For baby food, this translates to about a half-ounce per cube. The only reason I deducted a star is that I do wish the cubes were one ounce cubes. If this product were closer to the size of a regular ice cube tray, it would be perfect!

Great cubes, terrible taste
I really loved these ice cubes, they are kind of small but that was appealing to me, and I really didn't have any issues removing them from the tray or anything. Filling them is a little difficult but no biggie. However, as I used them more and more I noticed a weird taste. I thought it was my water filter at first, so I replaced it and made ice with the newly filtered water. It's definitely the cubes. As soon as I smelled the empty trays I knew that they were imparting the taste.I tried washing, I'm going to try boiling them, because I'm so disappointed and in every other respect love the trays! I am one of the few people to find this flaw, and I picked these trays in particular because other people had taste issues with other trays and I combed the reviews without finding any mention of taste with these. So perhaps I got defective set, but that seems unlikely.

Perfectly shaped square cubes; hard to get out of tray
I like the small, perfectly square-shaped ice cubes. I don't like freezing my hands every time I take the cubes out of the trays -- they don't just pop out as with a traditional ice cube tray, you really have to twist the tray and pop out each individual cube. Not as quick and efficient as a traditional tray. Also my son pointed out that they leave a bit of a silicon taste in the cubes and now that he made that observation, I taste silicon every time too. Not sure I'd buy more even though I do like the cubes and the sizing of them.

Works for me to freeze my cream and milk
I have multiple food allergies. My safe for me milk is VERY temperature sensitive. Tired of having 1/2 the expensive stuff go bad before I get to it. SOOOO... I bought Tundra Ice Cube trays and have been using them to freeze my milk. 2 cubes = perfect amount for my morning coffee or tea. AND NO NASTY taste. I rarely use silicon because I can usually taste it in my food (same for plastics)... But steel ice cube trays were not getting it for me.These are SMALL ice cubes. So, if you are wanting something for ice water, this is prob not it. But, if you want to just store milk or herbs, this would likely work well. Also - Due to having multiple allergies, and having had horrible experience with the way things are packed, I washed these SEVERAL times before using them... They felt like they had some sort of coating on them to ship - not really oily, but something like oily... strange feel. So, might want to wear gloves to unpack them and then wash them several times. That said, they washed up beautifully and I have had NO reactions to them at all.I have 4 trays, and that is a perfect amount for me. I just finished posting a similar comment to this on the Facebook page for corn-allergic people as we tend to have some difficulty with finding safe storage.Very, very pleased with this product.
