To start I'd like to say that my daughter is 11 months old, 50th percentile for height and weight, and I ordered the 18 month size. My brother is getting married in November and the dress is just loose enough that it should fit perfectly by then. The color is exactly what the picture shows and the dress itself is surprisingly soft. What impressed me right off the bat was that there wasn't a loose string to be found anywhere on the dress or jackette. The bow in the back is sewn on so you don't have to worry about trying to retie a perfect bow. The buttons in back match well enough that they're not even really noticeable though I will be reinforcing them with some extra seeing because they seem a bit loose to me. Then again, my daughter is super active so I may just be paranoid. She's pretty rough on buttons. Lol! The arm holes are large which is a huge plus because most baby dresses restrict movement in the arms. If you have a chunky baby, this dress won't bother them a bit. The strap lengths are absolutely perfect. The jackette is fastened by a little rhinestone button. The button hole is stretchy so getting this on a wiggly kid will be no problem. The material is silky and comfy on the inside, felt on the outside. It is thin so it'd probably only be good for cool nights. If you're wanting this for actual cold weather, definitely get a good jacket to go over everything. For a trip to southern Mississippi in the fall, this is perfect.I got the Robeez Catherine Mary Jane shoes to go with it and they're just darling!It's all very well made and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It'd be perfect for Valentines, Christmas, anything really. You won't be disappointed.

My 16 month old wore this dress to a party and it was perfect! She typically wears 12-18 months or 18 month clothes. Anything larger than that is too big. The dress was a great material that was comfortable and It was perfect that we had the little sweater to take on and off. It is true to size.
