Question 1

Will this work with M32?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

Question 2

Can this be used to run an aviom iem system from the behringer x32?

Accepted Answer

Yes but read the following: The Behringer X32 mixer provides 32 channels of I/O over ethernet using a protocol called “AES50”. The Aviom system, on the other hand, uses “A-Net” protocol.

A network bridge that can convert AES50 into A-Net is required to use the X32 with an Aviom system.

Question 3

Can i use waves multirack on one laptop and record at the same time on a second laptop? do i need a switch for that or direct connection works?

Accepted Answer

Gabriel,Hi. Dante is basically a network protocol. The Dante card for the X32 has 2 Cat5 connectors on it - a primary and a secondary. You can plug 1 laptop into each connector, or you can plug a gigabit switch into one of the connectors and then feed the laptops from there. Then you can plug in multiple Dante-enabled machines and you can route any input or output to/from any device.I just use 2 laptops into the Dante card to record 2 copies of live shows. One is a backup. You need to download the Virtual Dante Soundcard software onto each machine for them to work. It's $25 for each machine. You also have to download Dante routing software onto at least one machine. The routing software is where you assign each output from the X32 to feed the input of each laptop for recording. You can also route the output of one of the laptops to the X32 channel inputs. The Dante network is really just a software routing system.I hope this helps. It's been a big improvement for me.Best regards,Tim

Question 4

I have a wing. can this be used in behringer wing? thanks

Accepted Answer

No. The cards look very similar but this card (X-Dante) is for the X32 consoles. The option that you want would be called Wing-Dante for the Wing console available for about the same price.
