Not used for just holding bread

Perfect for what I needed - a bread holder and "crap" holder! We got rid of our microwave and needed a place to hold our everyday stuff that used to sit on microwave. The shelf holds all my stuff while having enough room in the bottom for a homemade loaf and all our vitamins! I've received so many compliments on the look!
