ROOM CLEARING POOPS
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel. WHAT IS IN THIS FOOD?! All three of my cats have been emitting the most noxious roomclearing poos since we purchased a teeny bag of this. AND we mixed it in with their regular food! Holy !?!?!?Have never had such smelly cat dumps ever, and that's with 3 adult cats and a rotating litter of foster kittens. The cats seem to like it well-enough, but NEVER AGAIN. Oh, and the FARTS. Did I mention the farts? My cats fart now. that's no. HE Double Hockey Sticks NO.

Great, but then......
Rachel Ray has been putting new through the test. My cats went from the "zero grain" bags to "peak" bags and will now if to another brand. The nourish has too much of the filler items I refuse to give my cats. So the nourish line is trash. Well for whatever reason now the peak line is discontinued and it's savory which isn't any better than the nourish line. Thanks Rachel and JM Smucker for pushing a customer away to another brand. My cats loved their food but the garbage food doesn't work for me so now. Guess it was a good ride while it lasted for that food. Hopefully it stops happening cause I have switched their food to many times because of discontinuation....... For those of you who buy this product ya better start making the switch now before it's too late. Thank God I have a bit of a stockade.

This is the only dry food my Maine Coon Cat will eat
For the first bag of the Peak cat food, I was lucky enough to find it at a local grocery store - my Maine Coon cat became addicted to it and then, of course, it went AWOL at the same store and I was stuck with a cat who was not happy. Per usual, I was able to order if from Amazon and now have a happy cat. If it is the only dry food the animal will eat, flavor, value for money and ingredient quality all rate at 5 stars. I should note the other three cats love it as well.

My cat likes it bunches!
The six pound bag comes air tight sealed in a tough plastic type material. I keep the bag well sealed between feedings to preserve freshness. Every time I open the bag, there is a strong smell of fish, which to a cat, must be great. As for the taste, I will assume it is pleasant to my cat because she is noshing on it all the time and begs without end when the bowl is empty. These kibbles are extra small which make it easier for her 15 yr old toothless jaws to swallow down. I have to regulate the amounts per feeding because the doc says she needs to lose about one pound and will overeat herself sick if I just fill the bowl and leave it. Her scabby skin eruptions have greatly decreased, I guess from grain allergies in the previous food, and her coat has thickened. She scampers about more now and tosses her toys as she did in her youth. So, am guessing the product is ok.

"Formulated" not Cruelty Free
My cats have never been disappointed with Rachael Ray cat food but now I am.Rachel has fallen into the sometimes responsible brand cat food trap, that some flavors are cruelty free and some are lab tested, like Wellness & Purina. This Woodland flavor of Peak IS Lab Tested. The label was not posted on product page or never would have tried it. Not even for free. The Peak food is clearly labeled on the side, under ingredients, AAFCO "formulated" not "feeding".All food has an AAFCO label in small print, usually on the side of the bag.If it says "feeding", it's cruelty free.If it says "formulated" means lab test and I can't in good conscience give my pets something another animal had to be punished for.Did give to cats to try & dry food loving kitty was a fan.Unfortunately, makes me sick to know what was done to the animals that had to test this so in the garbage it goes as I'm restricted to donating it. Truly I'm sorry to do this. Some facts on this food if cruelly free not a concern to you.40% min Crude protein, most foods are 30%, so great for animal nutrition.Don't fall into the grain free trap. Look at the protein on the label. That's what our pets need. Also, Rachel is great with USA made food just like this one that portion of sales go to her Animal Charity.Sorry, I can't get behind lab tested food but I volunteered in a lab as a kid when I wanted to see if I could be a vet & it just destroyed me wth things I can never forget.Hope this helps for better or worse

A step up from Vet food...
I have a senior cat with gastrointestinal issues, who prior to this was on special food. We recently adopted 2 kittens. Obviously we needed a food solution that was good for all 3 cats. Our Vet suggested Grain free for all life stages. This food fit the bill! Our senior cat tolerates it perfectly and our kittens get what they need to thrive and grow. The price is amazing. My Vet just left and she checked out this food and said that Rachel Ray's food is a step ABOVE the food you would normally purchase at your local Vet. Thanks Rachel for taking such good care of my fur babies!💜

Great small kibble size !
I buy this Primarily because it has small cables.I have two elderly cats both 18 years old could’ve had some teeth removed and consequently it’s difficult for them to chew large morsels. They love the taste, and I love the fact that it’s grain free and has a lot of nutrients in it.Definitely works for my purposes
